PROJEKTOWANIE MASZYN, W. Pietrzyk, P. Żabiński Ltd.
I. Cookies policy
1. Definition of cookies files
The cookies files are small data units that are temporarily stored by a browser on the computer hard drive. Cookies usually contain the name of the web page they come from, its storage time on the end device and a unique identification number which is stored on the device. The number is anonymous and generated randomly. Some of the files are deleted once the browser session expires, some others are saved on the computer hard drive for a longer time.
The information contained in the cookies files is not collected for the purpose of obtaining personal data. However, in some circumstances they can help to identify a particular User, which means they can be recognized as personal data.
2. Reasons for using cookies
The cookies files are used to make it easier for the Users to utilize the http://www.pm.gda.pl Internet web page. The cookies files, and the information they contain, are used to improve the services on offer, for example, in order to:
- provide the entity that runs the Web Page with the opportunity to recognize the device, which prevents the necessity to enter the same information on multiple occasions during the same single task ex. filling in a form or survey;
- count how many people use the services, to make the use more streamlined and provide a proper speed of the connection;
- analyse the data as to track how the Users find various aspects of the web page, which makes it possible to continuously improve it.
3.Types of cookies on Web Page
Cookie file | Purpose |
Page session (own file) | So called session cookies (temporary) are necessary for technical reasons; they are vital for the realization of the basic page functions within, for example, the contact form. |
Google Analitycs (outside file) | Web Page uses the Google Analitycs service to collect data on Users. While analysing traffic patterns on the Web Page, it’s possible to recognize, among others: – how the Users found the page, whether via a browser or referral from another page, or by entering manually the page address into the browser, – in which spot the Users were in the particular moment in time, – what operating system, browser, device type the Users work within, – how long they stayed on the Web Page or its particular subpages. |
To see the content of the cookie file, all one has to do is open the cookie file viewing in the browser window. A short sequence of digits and characters shall be displayed. The given numbers make up an identification card, which is visible only for the server that actually sent the very cookie file.
In order to receive information on how to check the code in the mobile phone browser, you need to get familiar with the respective section of your mobile phone manual guide.
4. Blocking cookies files
In most cases the software designed to view web pages (i.e. web browser) by default enables the storage of cookies files in the end User’s device. All up-to-date browsers provide Users with an option to change – by themselves – the cookies files settings. The settings can be modified in particular to block the automatic service of cookies files in the Internet browser settings, or supply information every single time they are placed in the User’s device. It’s worth to note that limiting the performance of cookies files can impact the functions of the Web Page.
The settings can usually be found in Options or Preferences in a particular browser. Should the need occur, one shall use the Help option in the browser to learn more details. Thorough information concerning the change in the browser settings can also be found at: http://wszystkoociasteczkach.pl/.
